International Day Of Women in Statistics and Data Science

Ms. Emmanuella Frimpong is a graduate of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana, where she completed her Master of Science in Mathematics, undertaking research on the topic “Comparing Monte Carlo Simulation and Analytical Estimation Methods for Absorbing Markov Chain Parameters Under Limited Transition Data”. She holds a funded position as a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Statistics at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she is pursuing a second Master of Science in Statistics with a focus on time series analysis and forecasting.

Ms. Frimpong received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, in 2024, graduating as the Overall Best Student in the Department of Mathematics. She served as a teaching assistant in the department where she demonstrated her passion to advance statistical education and mentor the next generation of women in Statistics and Data Science.
