About me
I am Pamela Solano, a statistician and researcher at the University of Regensburg, Germany. Since 2014, I have worked as a biostatistician. Following my PhD in 2018, my research focus toward statistical modeling approaches with direct societal relevance. I began working in environmental and marine biology, addressing challenges linked to environmental degradation. During this period, I rapidly established a research network and developed multidisciplinary collaborations. I was appointed as a professor in 2018 and obtained tenure in statistics in 2020.
Peer-reviewed publications appear in internationally recognized journals ranked at least WoS Q2, including several Q1 outlets with impact factors above 10. My work demonstrates a commitment to society through rigorous statistical methodology, interdisciplinary reach beyond purely applied venues, and measurable societal impact in public health, climate change, environmental monitoring, and risk modeling.
