About me
Ashley Asmus is a researcher, project manager, and data scientist with over nine years of experience working with complex datasets, including six years focused on travel survey data in both public and private sectors. Prior to joining RSG Inc., she served as lead researcher and deputy project manager for the Twin Cities Metropolitan Council’s multi-year travel survey program and managed a regional origin-destination survey of more than 25,000 transit riders.
She is committed to open, reproducible science and develops transparent, well-documented analytical workflows grounded in version-controlled code and rigorous quality control. Ashley is skilled at translating complex technical concepts for broad audiences and creating documentation that enables replication. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Biology and applies her background in biodiversity and global change to analyzing human travel behavior.
