About me
Carmen Minuesa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and a member of the Institute of Advanced Scientific Computing at the University of Extremadura (UEx). Her research focuses on stochastic processes. She began her career with a PhD on branching processes and has since been continuously involved in national research projects.
She has held a position as assistant professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid and completed several research visits at international universities. Her work has been recognized with the Juan Jesús Morales Scientific Research Prize (Faculty of Sciences, UEx) and the Ramiro Melendreras Prize (SEIO). She also represented Spain at the European Young Statisticians Meeting organized by the Bernoulli Society.
She has served on scientific and organizing committees of international conferences and co-coordinated the SEIO working group on Stochastic Processes and Their Applications (2022–2025).
