About me
Dr. Chin Su Na is a statistician and Lecturer in Statistics at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. Her research focuses on developing statistical methodology for efficient sampling design and population estimation. She received her PhD in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, where she developed a unified framework for optimising sampling effort in capture–recapture studies. Her research combines mathematical statistics, optimisation, and computational methods to address challenges in statistical study design under resource constraints. While motivated by capture–recapture applications, her work has broader relevance to survey methodology, ecological statistics, public health, and other fields that depend on efficient data collection and reliable population estimation.
