About me
Researcher in Genetic Epidemiology at the MRC Biostatistics Unit, University of Cambridge, specializing in Mendelian randomization, a causal inference framework that uses genetic variants to assess the effects of putative risk factors on disease from observational data. My research integrates statistical evidence with molecular insights to guide the selection of genetic variants that are plausible instrumental variables in Mendelian Randomization. Informed by this research line, I apply Mendelian Randomization frameworks to investigate the causal role of circulating biomolecules on cardiovascular disease across population strata, with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets and the demographic and genetic subgroups most likely to benefit from them.
