Ema Požek is a PhD student in statistics at the Institute for Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. Her methodological interests lie in survival analysis and simulation studies, and her research focuses on developing statistical methods for lead time and overdiagnosis estimation in cancer screening programmes. She previously worked as a biostatistician at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), where she was involved in the analysis of clinical trials. Ema holds a master’s degree in mathematical statistics from the University of Zagreb (2022) and is actively involved in collaborations with clinicians and researchers on applied projects in medical research and statistics.
