About me
Haeun Moon is an assistant professor in the Department of Transdisciplinary Innovations and the Department of Statistics at the Seoul National University, South Korea. Before joining SNU, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University. She received Ph.D in Statistics from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on developing association measures for modern data, which are often characterized by nonlinear relationships, heterogeneous data types, missingness, and non-i.i.d. structures. She is also interested in leveraging black-box prediction models for powerful yet valid statistical inference. Her applied work centers on association studies in genomics.
