About me
Julia Soulakova, Ph.D., is a biostatistician and Professor of Medicine in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Her research interests include statistical methodology with applications to behavioral medicine and social sciences. She is interested in examining factors associated with substance use behaviors in youth and adult populations in the United States. Her independent research has been supported by multiple external grants, including an R01 grant, funded by the NIMHD, NIH, U.S. DHHS. Her teaching portfolio includes undergraduate and graduate statistics courses. Dr. Soulakova has served as a reviewer on multiple NIH Study Sessions and was a Standing Member of the Study Session on Health Care Research Training, AHRQ, US DHHS. She is an active member of the American Statistical Association and Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco.
