About me
Gloria Oppong is an incoming Ph.D. student in Biostatistics at Florida State University. She recently earned her M.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Applied Statistics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her research focuses on public health statistics, epidemiology, and statistical modeling using large-scale health survey data. She has conducted research using the CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), examining physical activity, chronic disease, and health-related quality of life among U.S. adults. Gloria has also contributed to research in quantum computing and combinatorial optimization. She is passionate about applying statistical methods to address public health challenges and improve health outcomes through data-driven research.
