About me
Sucharitha (Suchi) Dodamgodage is a Biostatistician and Statistics PhD Candidate at Clarkson University who loves turning complex mathematical theory into clean, reliable data pipelines for the life sciences. She solved a major statistical conjecture left open since 1989 regarding Dirichlet distribution estimators, transforming that breakthrough into an end-to-end pipeline featuring parameter estimation, differential abundance analysis, and goodness-of-fit frameworks for noisy, high-dimensional microbiome data. Beyond her dissertation, her work spans epidemiology and pediatric health. Suchi pairs this deep theoretical background with hands-on corporate experience as a biostatistician intern at Inari Medical in California and Vironix Health in New York. A natural leader who served as Chapter President and a mentor for the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM). Set to graduate in Fall 2026, Suchi is currently open to full-time industry roles where she can make an immediate impact.
