Sunyoung Shin is an Associate Professor in Department of Mathematics at Pohang University of Science and Technology. Her research lies at the intersection of statistical learning and reinforcement learning, with a focus on developing scalable methods for high-dimensional data, particularly in genomics and bioinformatics. Her work aims to uncover the biological mechanisms underlying diseases and complex traits. She received her PhD from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
