Yoko Konishi is a professor at the University of Tsukuba, specializing in applied econometrics and statistics. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Nagoya University. Her research uses official statistics, private-sector big data, and large-scale surveys to study consumer behavior, disaster recovery, and the societal impact of generative AI.
She is also committed to promoting statistical literacy and making statistical thinking an essential part of education and decision-making in society.
