The International Day for Women in Statistics and Data Science (IDWSDS) is an annual global celebration recognizing the achievements, contributions, and leadership of women in statistics and data science.
IDWSDS was launched in 2022 through a collaboration among the Caucus for Women in Statistics and Data Science (CWS), the Portuguese Statistical Society (SPE), and the American Statistical Association (ASA). Since its inaugural celebration, IDWSDS has grown into an international gathering that brings together statisticians, data scientists, researchers, educators, students, and professionals from around the world.
The conference provides a space to celebrate accomplishments, share ideas, build connections, and inspire the next generation of women in statistics and data science. Through keynote presentations, invited talks, plenary talks, contributed sessions, and opportunities for community engagement, IDWSDS highlights the breadth and impact of women's work across our fields.
Each year, the conference brings a new theme and a fresh opportunity to explore the challenges, opportunities, and evolving role of statistics and data science in our world.
