International Day Of Women in Statistics and Data Science

Ksenija Dumičić, Ph.D., is a tenured full professor in statistics from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Economics & Business and is currently a visiting professor at DOBA University of Applied Sciences in Slovenia. She founded and led Croatia’s first postgraduate study programme in statistics for 15 years and served as Head of the Statistics Department. She co-founded Ipsos Croatia in 1993 and the Croatian Statistical Association, serving as founding president and Honorary President. She chaired the ISI Committee on Women in Statistics for two terms, initiated the CW-ISI International Webinar Series, and received the 2025 ISI Service Award for exceptional leadership, dedication to ISI and the global statistical community, and her pivotal role in supporting and chairing CW-ISI. In 2026, she received the CWS 2025 Acknowledgement Certificate for service on the Country Representative Committee. She is a Fellow of the RSS and a member of the ASA and has published more than 260 papers.
